Barbara Palvin is officially Barbara Sprouse!
On July 15, the 29-year-old supermodel married 30-year-old actor and former child star Dylan Sprouse on Barbara’s parents’ property (which, conveniently, is also an events space) in her home country of Hungary. “[This past weekend] was supposed to be an intimate event,” Barbara told Vogue. “But we ended up having 115 guests because there are a lot of people we care about and we wanted them all to be there.” The couple also plans to have a second wedding this fall in California, where Sprouse was raised.
According to Vogue, Barbara wore a custom Vivienne Westwood wedding dress with a corseted bodice. She accessorized with a ’90s-inspired Tiffany choker necklace, Jimmy Choo heels, semi-sheer opera gloves, and a sweeping veil. Following the ceremony, Barbara changed into a Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini dress that was more appropriate for dancing and that made her “feel like a modern princess.” Per Hungarian tradition, she changed once more after midnight into a red dress.
“It’s called menyecske ruha,” Barbara explained. “There was no question—I had to wear a Hungarian designer for this one, so I chose Mero. They created the dress of my dreams. It was sexy and sweet but also comfortable—exactly what I wanted.”

The happy couple met roughly six years ago and recounted their meet-cute to Vogue. It all began when Barbara cut Dylan in line while entering an event. Dylan then chastised her for the “bad behavior,” and Barbara replied, “What are you—a hot-dog vendor?” Cue a flirty back-and-forth, Dylan sliding into Barbara’s DMs, and Barbara ghosting the actor for six months before finally agreeing to a date. Who said romance was dead?
Barbara Palvin and Dylan Sprouse confirmed their engagement in June 2023. “With the power invested in V I am a Sprouse to be,” Palvin captioned a pic from their wedding-themed V Magazine photo shoot, which she posted on Instagram on June 15.
The engagement news was first reported in March, with a source telling Entertainment Tonight that the actor and the model were keeping the news private and telling only close friends. “They have been showing off her ring to people and are so happy,” the source said at the time. “They’re always very in love with one another and by each other’s sides, but they’re even happier than usual. They can’t wait to start this new chapter together.”

As it turns out, they had been keeping their updated relationship status a secret for nearly an entire year after getting engaged in September 2022. “We didn’t necessarily feel the need to be fully transparent with the public about that aspect of our engagement,” Sprouse told his twin brother Cole Sprouse, who conducted the V Magazine interview, in June.
Palvin added, “When some people leaked the information that we got engaged, our PR team was like, ‘Hey, so you guys should do maybe a post about it or talk to this magazine or talk to that magazine.’ That really annoyed me because I knew we were building this story up. So, I’m very happy that we ended up doing it our way.”
Per Vogue, Dylan proposed during a camping trip in California with the couple’s friends. “It was very romantic,” Barbara recalled. “I was suspicious and thought he might pop the question because he packed a shirt that was too nice for camping.”
